File Preparation & Artwork Guidelines
Ensure the Best Results for Your Custom & DTF Orders
To guarantee sharp detail, accurate color, and professional-quality results, please follow the guidelines below before submitting your artwork.
Correct file setup helps prevent delays, resizing issues, pixelation, and color inconsistencies.
π₯ DTF Printing Artwork Requirements
File Format
For DTF gang sheets and custom DTF transfers, please submit:
-
PNG format (preferred)
-
Transparent background
-
300 DPI resolution
-
RGB color mode
We do not recommend low-resolution JPEG files, screenshots, or social media downloads.
Resolution & Quality
β Minimum: 300 DPI at final print size
β Artwork must be sized correctly before uploading
β Avoid stretched or scaled-up images
Low-resolution files will print blurry or pixelated. If your design looks fuzzy on your screen at full size, it will print that way.
Background Transparency
DTF prints exactly what is provided.
If your file includes a background color (even white), it will print.
Ensure:
-
Clean transparency
-
No unwanted background blocks
-
No hidden layers
Gang Sheet Layout
When building your own gang sheet:
-
Maintain proper spacing between designs
-
Avoid overlapping artwork
-
Double-check sizing before submission
Improper layout can result in unusable transfers.
Color Expectations
DTF printing uses professional CMYK conversion from RGB files. While colors are highly accurate:
-
Slight color variation may occur
-
Neon or ultra-bright digital colors may not print exactly as seen on backlit screens
For brand-specific colors, include color references when possible.
πͺ΅ Laser Engraving Artwork Requirements
Preferred File Types
For engraving projects, we recommend:
-
Vector files (AI, SVG, EPS, PDF) for best precision
-
High-resolution PNG (minimum 300 DPI) if vector is unavailable
Vector files ensure sharp lines and clean engraving detail.
Line & Detail Considerations
Engraving is precision-based. Keep in mind:
-
Very thin lines may not engrave clearly
-
Small text must be legible at final size
-
Avoid overly complex micro-details
If unsure, contact us before submitting.
π Apparel & Custom Merchandise Guidelines
For custom apparel or fundraiser designs:
-
Submit high-resolution PNG (300 DPI)
-
Confirm placement (Left Chest, Full Front, Back, etc.)
-
Provide exact sizing measurements
Clear instructions reduce production errors.
β οΈ Common File Mistakes to Avoid
-
Screenshots instead of original artwork
-
Low-resolution social media images
-
Missing transparency
-
Incorrect sizing
-
Artwork not converted to outlines (for vector files)
-
Using copyrighted or trademarked images without permission
Customers are responsible for ensuring they have rights to use submitted artwork.
π Recommended Artwork Checklist
Before uploading, confirm:
β File is 300 DPI
β Background is transparent (if required)
β Sized correctly for final print
β No unwanted layers or hidden backgrounds
β Proper file format
β Text is spelled correctly
